Party Tricks
C'mon, everybody needs a trick or two. We'll show you a variety of tricks, introduce the fundamentals of clicker training and you'll be well on your way to having a circus performer before you know it!
Who's Walking Who?
An introduction to leash walking basics. Work on attention, learn about proper equipment and start to work on a leisurely stroll with control.
Doggie Zen
Is your dog not able to settle down and chill as you'd like? Having trouble getting your pooch to relax in new places or around new people? We'll work on bringing the Zen to your Doggie's Den and build the foundation of teaching and rewarding calm behavior on cue.
Dog Enrichment 101
Enrichment allows animals to practice species-specific behavior. For dogs, that's digging, chewing, sniffing, chasing- all normal dog behavior. We'll teach you tricks to increase your dog's enrichment using food, interactive games, new smells and more. An enriched dog is a happy, relaxed dog.
Dog Park or Mosh Pit?
Whew! It's a jungle out there and we want you to play it safe. Though dog parks can provide dogs with a place to run as well as socialization for dogs and humans, proceed with caution!
*A single traumatic event can forever alter your dog's behavior with other dogs (Really? Yes, really!). Learn how to identify proper greetings and play behavior, avoid and diffuse potential fights by reading body language, manage your own dog reliably and advice
on when to pack it up and go home.
Reactive Dogs
Have a dog that barks and lunges at other dogs on leash? Endlessly frustrated when you walk your dog? Have you joined the "Midnight Walkers Club"? We hear ya!
This workshop is to educate humans on what a "reactive" dog is, management techniques to prevent practicing reactive behavior, identifying our behavior that may trigger them to react and techniques to practice relaxation and being calm with our dogs.
Doggie Myth Busters
To tug or not to tug? If my dog goes out the door before me, is he dominant? Alpha rolls, dominance theory, the list goes on. No, Fido isn't trying to take over the world. Learn about common dog myths, pack theory and why dogs aren't wolves! You and your dog will sleep better at night even if you (gasp!) share a bed. Wink, wink!
