Welcome to your dog’s next big adventure.

City dogs weren’t made for constant concrete. They need room to run, instincts to follow, and a chance to tap into who they really are.
That’s where Farm Dog® comes in.

While you're working, commuting, or just trying to get through the day, your dog is out in nature—moving, learning, decompressing, and growing into the kind of dog who can hang anywhere, city or country.

Farm Dog® is our immersive adventure training program for city dogs who need more than sidewalks and squeaky toys. It’s a full-day experience that blends biological fulfillment, trail skills, and real-world obedience into something bigger than "daycare."

This is about raising capable dogs who are regrounded by nature so they can regulate in the city.

What Real-World Farm Dog Training Looks Like:

  • Trail Trust: Off-leash recall in high-distraction settings. Because "Come!" has to work when rabbits are running.

  • Pack Harmony: Social fluency with a trusted group and experienced mentor dogs.

  • Freedom with Boundaries: Letting your dog run with purpose — not just run wild.

  • Adventure-Ready Manners: From calmly loading in the van to checking in on hikes, your dog learns the little things that make big adventures doable.

  • Environmental Confidence: Movement on varied terrain, decompression in open space, resilience in weather. That’s real-life prep.

What a Day at the Farm Looks Like:

Your dog is picked up from our Old City or East Falls stops (or dropped off at our private farm).

They'll spend the day doing what dogs were meant to do: trail hikes, creek dips, recall games, social play, digging holes, scenting in the woods, and resting in the sun. All while learning how to be the kind of dog you can trust on the trail and at the brewery.

You’ll receive personalized updates, plus guidance on how to keep the momentum going at home and on your next big outing.

Program Structure

1. Farm Dog Evaluation Day
We get to know your pup, see how they respond to the environment, and determine the best path forward for training and integration.

2. "Farm Dog Ready" Training Program
2-3 weeks of structured training, Tuesday through Friday. Drop-off and pick-up options available. We work on recall, manners, regulation, and trail fluency.

3. Farm Dog Membership
After graduation, your pup becomes a full-fledged member. Some dogs join our Mentor Pack, helping guide new pups. Others benefit from our Enrichment Track with tailored hikes and continued training.

What’s Included:

  • Daily immersive training (T-F)

  • Off-leash recall work (with remote collar included)

  • Socialization with mentor dogs

  • Private coaching sessions

  • Daily trail time and structured rest

  • Training recaps, video/photo updates

This Is For You If:

  • You want your dog to run free safely.

  • You want real-world recall, not just backyard practice.

  • You believe dogs need more than training—they need fulfillment.

  • You’re ready to learn with your dog and keep the momentum going.

This Is Not:

  • A chaotic pack walk.

  • A place to "drop and forget."

  • A quick fix for deep behavior issues (but it is a damn good foundation).

Raising a dog is one thing.
Raising a dog who can call off a deer, hike off-leash, move confidently with a pack, and come back to you every time?

That’s a Farm Dog®.

I wish there was an option to give more than 5 stars. I can not say enough good things about Opportunity Barks.

“I have always been skeptical of dog training, given the high cost, multiple training strategies and styles, and inability to guarantee results. After doing a lot of research, I reached out to OP after reading the customer reviews. After the initial intake call, my concerns were quickly eased. I knew my dog and I would be in good hands, given their amazing success record. They did not disappoint! My dog has completed his four-week training course, but we continue to go to the farm weekly! One of the most appealing parts of their program to me was the ability to receive top-notch training followed by a daycare and enrichment opportunity. I wanted my dog to get exercise and socialization in a safe place that will continue to positively enforce his training and newly learned skills. I have received so many observations from friends, family, and neighbors about the positive change in his behavior, how well-mannered he is, and how well he walks on his leash. Opportunity Barks was extremely flexible and accommodating working with my busy and chaotic schedule to help me schedule training sessions. I would say the training is definitely worth it! I recommend Opportunity Barks to my friends, colleagues, and other dog parents that I meet. I am so thankful that I found OP, and I am so glad my dog loves his time at the farm!”
